Accessibility Statement
We're a small team, and accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a box we've ticked once — here's where we honestly stand.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Our commitment
We want this website and the Retufu application to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA wherever practical, and we treat accessibility as something to keep improving, not a one-time project.
What we've done
- Built this site with semantic HTML, so headings, lists and landmarks are readable by assistive technology, not just visually.
- Kept every interactive element — navigation, the contact form, buttons — reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
- Chosen text and background colours with real contrast in mind, not just what looks good.
- Built the layout to reflow sensibly at larger text sizes and browser zoom, rather than breaking or clipping content.
- Made every account in the Retufu application itself protected by mandatory two-factor authentication with a clear, step-by-step setup flow.
Known limitations
We're not perfect yet. Some areas — like generated PDF documents (invoices, statements, reports) and third-party embedded content — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA today. We're working through these as we go, and we welcome being told about a specific problem rather than assuming we already know about it.
Feedback
If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site or in the Retufu application, please tell us — what page or feature, and what happened. We read every message ourselves and aim to respond within one business day.
Reach us at info@retufu.co.za or via our contact page.
