Accessibility Statement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a box we've ticked once, here's where we currently stand.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Our commitment
We want this website and the Retufu application to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA wherever practical, and we treat accessibility as something to keep improving, not a one-time project.
What we've done
- Structured every page so headings, lists and navigation are clearly identifiable by assistive technology, not just visually.
- Kept every interactive element, navigation, the contact form, buttons, reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
- Chosen text and background colours with real contrast in mind, not just what looks good.
- Built the layout to reflow sensibly at larger text sizes and browser zoom, rather than breaking or clipping content.
- Made every account in the Retufu application itself protected by mandatory two-factor authentication with a clear, step-by-step setup flow.
Known limitations
While we work to provide an inclusive experience, some areas may still present challenges, including:
- Complex data-heavy screens that may be more difficult to navigate using screen readers.
- Certain workflows that may require additional keyboard navigation compared to mouse usage.
- Third-party integrations or services that are outside of our direct control and may not fully meet our accessibility expectations.
- Older areas of the platform that are being progressively updated to meet current accessibility standards.
Feedback
If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site or in the Retufu application, please tell us, what page or feature, and what happened. We read every message ourselves and aim to respond within one business day.
Reach us at info@retufu.co.za or via our contact page.
